We were able to visit Cuba during the time it was open for US citizens. It was very enlightening and educational. We were excited about bringing money to the Cuban population through tourism. We soon discovered that all of the hotels, restaurants, and taxis were owned by the government and none of the money actually goes to the people. They mane very little money and most of it goes to the communist government.
