Langtang is a slender valley nestled between the mighty Langtang Lirung (7234 m) to the north and a massif of Gang Chhenpo (6388 m), Naya Kangri (5857 m) and Dorje Lakpa (6966 m) to the south and east respectively. Only a few hours’ drive from Kathmandu, this secluded region is mainly dwelt by the people of Tamang community. The customs, culture and costume of the Tamangs very often give you the reminiscence of Tibet.
